They emerged from The Black Holes of the Sunderland hundreds of miles away from Thar or the West Galena's. It was easy enough to elude patrolling monsters and humanoids by night, but each dawn was a race to find safe lodging till nightfall. Trouble was, many other things had the same habits as the drow veterans. They had to fight most mornings for spaces in damp caves and tight copings, but fighting was the natural state of these hard warriors.

Survival

That word remained within me as a constant reminder of my years in Menzoberranzan. Survival could become everything for a desperate being as I was. The very meaning of the word keeps us alive and well. Survival pushes a whole race, or even a union of the foulest and the most noble races, forward towards a common goal. But how much do we risk by merely living? Do we actually survive ourselves in this struggle? It seems such a pitiful concept now that I look back at my young bloodied hands, tainted with both blood of the innocent and the not so innocent that I killed; stained with the blood of the kin that I now fight for.

Actually it became a lot more serious. My work I have had reported but the person keeps reuoloading and now sends me notes, threstening my life, telling me she knows where I live and that I am gonna be stabbed... It is ridiculous but serious enough this case is taken to the police. So you do not need to spread the word any more. Many people have reported her and got blocked for that. I am afraid that their life could b thereatened as well, you know.

Hi,

I have some work in progress image about a drow character, but I am not sure where should I look for advice as most groups don't allow work in progress images. Is it ok if I submit it to this group?

Hello!

We're usually not very picky for artworks. Please don't submit the same "work in progress" a milions of times over! That could become anoying. But if it's just once in a while and is a drow/dark elf, go ahead, post it here. I hope you can find the critics you need! :)

I have a series of weird and curious photos taken in an underground cavern called Stump Cross Caves. Is anyone clever/cunning enough to use these as backgrounds for any Drow characters? I'm not bright enough to do so myself as lack the software and skill required. But I have a good imagination and can see how they might be used as secene?

that's great! Actually there is a "scenary" folder you could put your pictures in. If you want people to use them in their drawings, you'd need to upload them as "stock image" though. So that they would know. "stock image" grant other artists to use your pictures as reference or in a photomanipulation.
